Midas Hospitality Internship Program
Students working toward qualifications such as Hotel Management or Food and Beverage Management are often required to complete an internship as part of their programs. Academic credit can be earned for a successful internship. You get the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills you have gained in class to real-life situations. This hands-on experience will allow you to make more informed decisions about the career path you take following your graduation. Midas Hospitality offers internship opportunities to undergraduates and graduates who want to get a head start in their career in the hospitality industry. While hotel internships are temporary positions within the hotels that allow you to gain practical experience by working alongside professionals, Midas accepts intern candidates based on their potential to become permanent employees. Interns have a great opportunity to become members of the Midas family as they have a chance to prove their abilities.
|Our internship programs are paid hourly positions in which the intern is expected to abide by all of the same rules and policies of our permanent employees and will be considered a member of the team in all aspects. An internship allows you to experience the Midas culture, learn our standards and gain exposure to various areas of a hotel and its amenities. To ensure that you have the best possible experience, you will:
• Be assigned to one or more hotels during your internship program.
• Be exposed to operational and management activities and responsibilities.
• Work in multiple positions within the hotel to maximize your experience.
Requirements for an Internship with Midas Hospitality:
You will usually be required to concentrate on one area during your internship. However, opportunities for cross-training may be available depending on the size of the hotel. The aim of your internship is to learn the policies, systems and procedures in place within each department you work. You will need to display excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to prove yourself capable of taking direction and working well as part of a team. Ensure that you are well presented as you will be interacting directly with the customers. Please view our Current Opportunities if you are interested in available opportunities.
U.S. law requires companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States – either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization. This diverse workforce contributes greatly to the vibrancy and strength of our economy, but that same strength also attracts unauthorized employment. E-Verify is an Internet-based system that allows businesses to determine the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
