WICHITA, KS
The 167th property to open nation-wide
August 31, 2009 - Kansas welcomed its first Staybridge Suites Hotel on Thursday, August 27 for the official opening day for business. This 88 all-suite, extended stay hotel offers a choice of room types from queen studios to roomy one and two-bedroom suites, all equipped with full kitchens and work niches. It is the city’s first hotel with an indoor movie theatre. This design model is intended particularly to draw long-term business travelers or displaced families caused from catastrophes. “It’s an excellent accommodation choice if you need a place to live for a week or several months, but of course we still welcome short stays,” Staybridge Suites General Manager, Melissa Nix said.
Located near the corners of 21st and Greenwich Road, Staybridge Suites is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group which includes Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn & Suites and Candlewood Suites. Owned and managed by Midas Hospitality based in St. Louis, Wichita’s Staybridge Suites is IHG’s 167th property and the 19th Staybridge Suites to open this year. As a member of the Priority Club Rewards program, guests earn points & airline miles when staying with any IHG property.
